Friday 27 August 2010
Daffodil Day is the largest merchandise based fundraising event of its kind for cancer research, education and patient support in the Southern Hemisphere. It is a day to support those touched by cancer and to focus on our belief for a cancer-free future. The daffodil flower is the international symbol of hope for all people affected by cancer - survivors, patients, family and friends. By participating in Daffodil Day, you will be actively supporting these people in their personal battle.
Over 28,000 people are diagnosed with cancer in NT each year. Money raised from the Daffodil Day will help fund cancer research, education and much needed support programs. If you were one of the thousands of Territorians who stopped to buy a daffodil gift last year, then thank you.
During the month of August, you will be able to find Daffodil Day merchandise by visiting any of our national supporting outlets. There will also be stalls throughout the NT on Daffodil Day itself, located at shopping centres and busy community areas .
