Breast Cancer Support Study

If you are a Breast Cancer Survivor, you may be interested in participating in the following research project.

A Psychology student with CQ University is currently completing her Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology. As a requirement for this degree, she is undertaking a thesis with the area of research investigating the awareness, perception and utilization of social and formal support, its effects on the psychological well-being of women who have had breast cancer.

In order to conduct this research, the student needs to recruit willing female participants who will be happy to complete a brief questionnaire which women are able to complete confidentially via a website (or on paper if requested). The questionnaire will be completely anonymous as names, and identifiable information will not be required.

The survey is available now, and will be closed by 12th July, 2010 to allow for analysis of the data. There is also an option in the survey for women to contact the student, Stacey Borsboom for a brief summary of the findings which will be released around November, 2010. To contact directly with any queries or problems please email her student email address: s0174075@student.cqu.edu.au
