One of the most effective and rewarding ways of raising funds for the Cancer Council of the Northern Territory is by holding large events, which engage the support of the community and an opportunity to support the cause in a fun, easy, yet symbolic way.
Our major national events are Call To Arms, Daredallion, Relay for Life, Australia's Biggest Morning Tea, Daffodil Day and Pink Ribbon Day and Girls Night In. Purchasing popular “Dougal Bear”, wearing a “Pink Ribbon for Breast Cancer” or hosting/participating in a “Morning Tea”or a "Girls Night In", may seem only a small gesture, but the results make a real difference to our ability to reduce the impact of cancer in the Territory.
Of course, these events would not be possible without the support of a team of enthusiastic volunteers, who offer to sell merchandise, to hold Morning Teas and to assist with the administration in the office. Their contribution is invaluable.
